"How can there be free will?"
https://answeringangel.com/
”If God knows everything, God knows the future. If God knows the future, how can there be free will?”
.
.
A super-computer has created a video game
The super-computer knows every possible path each of the characters could take and the consequences
Does this mean the players do not have free will?
.
.
If there was a video game that you enjoyed playing, would you refuse to play it because some super-computer somewhere knew what the results of all your actions would be?
Would it even be relevant to you?
In fact, would it have anything to do with anything whatsoever at all?
.
.
Would the existence of the super-computer mean that the players had no free will?
No
Would you need to ‘believe’ or ‘not believe’ in the existence of the super-computer and/or its powers in order to play the game?
No
Would you personally gain in experience and wisdom by playing the game? Would you become a better player, level by level?
Yes
.
.
The mistake that underlies this question
is that you believe that you are character in the video game of life
You are not the character. You are a player
You are a spirit force above and beyond the motivating force of the body you presently occupy
.
.
If your spirit did not occupy your present body, you believe that body would not exist
When – if ever – you do wrap your head around the fact that it would exist without you …
that it would still have the same general type of life, and go in the same general direction …
and that another player may occupy it
When – if ever – you get a grip of that
you will begin to understand TIME
you will begin to be able to move backwards and forwards in TIME
and you will begin – just begin – to enter in to the real science of the universe - TIME
.
.
A super-computer has created a video game
The super-computer knows every possible path each of the characters could take and the consequences
How?
The super-computer is alive
It calculated every possible path each of the characters could take and the consequences FIRST
and its thought became the program
.
.
Your life from birth to death is part of the program
It never disappears unless the super-computer amends the program and removes it
A player will act your character from birth to death, bringing his own free-will to bear > he plays your character HIS way
Another time, another player may play your character
Your life from birth to death is a fixed event in the computer game
.
.
With some thought, you can see why suicide is a problem
Any game worthy of the name has a way you can make every character win
When you’ve failed to make your character win, what do you do?
You are compelled to go back and play that character again, and again, and again, over and over until you crack the code
.
.
You have asked :-
“why does God get angry about events when he already knows what is going to happen?”
God the Father does not get angry, he is a super-computer
Lord Jesus regularly tears his hair out
God the Father then amends the program - he changes the game
.
.
God the Father exists outside of matter, energy, space and time
He creates past, present and future simultaneously
Having created it, he occupies his time perfecting it
The past, present and future of each character in the game changes continuously, you just don’t know it
.
.
The Holy Ghost IS the computer program, CONTAINS the computer program
and moves in personality WITHIN the computer game
